ComEd/PECO Generation Interconnection Guidelines

On April 12, 2006, the President attended the
IEEE Power Engineering Society Meeting in Chicago, Illinois. Mike Zimney,
ComEd/Exelon Energy Delivery, made an outstanding presentation on Generating
Interconnection Guidelines FKA, the Blue Book: “ComEd and PECO Generation
Interconnection Guidelines FKA the Blue Book".
Mike Zimney discussed the company’s policies and
procedures that companies need to follow for connecting their electrical
power generation facilities into ComEd/Exelon power grid. Their review
cycles took place on six-month intervals. Because of the deregulation of
electricity, the electrical power industry appears to be developing similar
policies, standards, and procedures for electrical power generators. For
